We are extremely excited to announce that for first time ever we are holding our very own Scarecrow Trail on Wednesday 8th November from 1-3pm.
Where is the Scarecrow Trail taking place?
The Scarecrow Trail is taking place in Roseberry Primary and Nursery School. We are also hoping to use our outside areas (weather permitting- please bring appropriate footwear).
Who is invited to take part in the Scarecrow Trail?
Everyone – children, family, friends and the local community.
What can I do to help?
All we ask is for you and your child to make a scarecrow to showcase at the event. We encourage you to be creative as possible when you design your scarecrow masterpiece. Making a scarecrow provides a fun, hands-on project and we hope your family will enjoy the opportunity to construct your very own original scarecrow!
Please deliver your Scarecrow to the School Office on Monday 6th November.
Please complete the attached form to let us know what themed Scarecrow you will be making, this is very important as your Scarecrow will be included on the game sheet.
What is the main event of the afternoon?
There will be a few activities going on around school in the afternoon, however the main event is the actual Scarecrow Trail. To complete the trail, you will need a game sheet. Solve the riddle game sheets will be available to buy at a cost of £2 per person. These can be bought on the day from the School Office, however Mrs Forster will also be collecting money and issuing the class teacher with the game sheet to hand out to your child.
What other events will be taking place?
- Colour and collage competition. Collect your sheet from the School Office with your 10p donation! Entries must be submitted no later than Wednesday 8th This will be drawn on Friday 10th November during our Achievers Assembly. Make sure your art work is clearly labelled with your child’s name and year group.
- Competition for the best scarecrow design! Vote for your winner on the day.
