Co-opted Governor

 

Why I became a governor: I love reading and maths. I’m a science-fiction fan and I enjoy visiting Scarborough sci-fi convention- when it’s on. The daleks are great fun! I wanted to be a governor because I know education is important.

Special Interests: Literacy, humanities and assessment

Qualifications:

  • BSc (Mathematics)
  • BSC (Psychology)
  • MSc (Psychological Research Methods)
  • Diploma in Management and Business

Experience: I have worked in information technology for around thirty years. I have been a computer programmer, worked on a help desk and also in technical support. I have also worked in a management role, managing teams of technical staff and computer programmers.

Skills: My skills include project management, time management, teamwork and leadership skills. I also have other work related skills such as numeracy and literacy. My ICT skills include programming, word processing, using spreadsheets and PowerPoint.

Possible training need: Leadership skills (I have completed the Chair Development Programme)
