Madame Paris

When did you start working at Roseberry?

I started working at Roseberry in September 2014.

What is your role in school?

I teach French to KS2 on Tuesday afternoons, and occasionally to the younger children too.

Why did you decide to do the job that you do?

I’ve always wanted to be a teacher, and through teaching French I show the children that not everyone speaks English and does things the way we do them here!

What is your favourite subject and why?

At school I loved science: I loved finding out about how things work in our world. I also loved learning English and German!

Do you have a favourite book?

My favourite book is called “The five people you meet in heaven” because it is a book full of hope. I love reading!

What is your favourite food?

I don’t have a favourite food as such – I love all food! However, if you told me that I couldn’t eat cheese anymore, I would not be happy…

What is your favourite sport?

I don’t really have a favourite sport, but you may like to now that I am a qualified football coach and used to run a girls’ team in Consett!

Do you have any hobbies?

In my spare time, my favourite things to do are going for walks and reading.

What do you like about working at Roseberry?

I love how welcoming and grateful the children and the staff are. At Roseberry, I feel part of a community, and even more so now that we have started taking children on trips to France. The relationships that I have developed here are special.
