Mrs Morton

When did you start working at Roseberry?
2006

What is your role in school?
Class Teacher and PE lead

Why did you become a teacher?
From being a little girl, I always wanted to be a teacher. I remember playing ‘schools’ with my various teddy bears, taking the register and so on. I managed to turn that childhood dream into reality. I love being around children and no day is ever the same in education. I feel incredibly fortunate to work at Roseberry.

What is your favourite subject and why?
I have found it extremely tough to choose one favourite subject but if I had to choose, I would say History because I love learning about the past. At Roseberry, we learn about so many exciting history topics, my favourites being The Titanic and The Egyptians.

Do you have a favourite book?
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S Lewis.

What is your favourite food?
Fish and chips, even better when at the beach. Yum!

What is your favourite sport?
I love ALL sports so choosing just one is virtually impossible. I will sit and watch a variety of sports ranging from golf to boxing. If I had to choose one, I would probably say football. I am a proud Newcastle United Fan and thoroughly enjoy watching my son play for his football team in my spare time.

Do you have any hobbies?
I enjoy reading, watching TV series and going for walks with my family.

What do you like about working at Roseberry?
What’s not to like about working at Roseberry! We are one big family, and we support each other no matter what. The main reason I love Roseberry is the children. They make it such a fantastic place to work.
